Electric Drills
Electric drills are an essential part of any man’s electric power tools. If he wants to be able to work faster and with more precision, he needs to make sure that he has an electric drill in his possession. There are two kinds of electric drills, and these are the corded and the cordless drills.
Cordless electric drill – this kind of electric drill is the kind that must be plugged into a power source to be able to work. This is the more advanced kind of electric drill, although not everybody chooses to use one. It became more and more popular due to the fact that it can be used anywhere and with more room to move around because it has no cord. But cordless electric drills are admittedly weaker than corded ones, in that the really heavy-duty drills are still made with cords because the powerful drills still need more wattage than an average battery can provide.
Corded electric drills – this kind of electric drill is the older version of its kind. But that does not mean that there have been no improvements to these kinds of models. As a matter of fact, industrial grade drills are still corded because they need more power. If you are more of the home worker, then you most probably do not need a high capacity drill, and can go with a cordless one instead.
Electric drill bits are the metal parts of the drill that do the actual penetration into the surface being drilled into. There are many different drill bits that are available, and these drill bits each have a specific use. For example, there is a specific kind of drill bit if you are simply trying to put in a regular-sized screw to hold up a normal sized picture frame, but there are also different kinds of electric drill bits if this frame is larger than usual and need bigger screws and nails to be able to hold up more weight.
Caring for your electric drills and bits is essential to make sure that your equipment stays functional. If you do not do this, you will end up with a rusty drill that will not work just when you need it the most, which will prove to be quite a hassle for you in the long run. Constantly oiling your bits will ensure you that your investment in these electric power drills will last you for years and years to come.
